The new REVEN BIM APP
REVEN GmbH is the first manufacturer of kitchen ventilation systems to succeed in adapting its design processes to the new BIM working method. The term building information modeling (BIM) describes a method of networked planning of buildings using software. The REVEN BIM video tutorial describes how such a method of networked planning of many different trades looks like, how such a workflow is put into practice. It should be emphasized that such a BIM workflow with commercial kitchen ventilation systems has not yet been implemented in practice. REVEN GmbH is the first manufacturer in this sector to achieve this.
The following figure shows the huge advantages that planning using the BIM working method can offer:
This figure shows a section of a file that REVEN received from the responsible planning office as feedback. In the red squiggle and red rectangle, the planner draws attention to the fact that in this area our supply air outlets REVEN DQA collide with a ventilation duct. He suggests moving them to the lower area (green rectangle). In this case, REVEN was able to fulfill this request relatively easily because there is enough space there. Without the BIM process, such things were sometimes only noticed during the measurement on the construction site. If the duct installation had not yet been completed at the time of the measurement, the problem could only have been noticed during assembly, which would have led to considerable change costs.
The core of this REVEN BIM workflow is an in-house development, the new REVEN BIM APP. This new REVEN BIM APP was developed together with the long-time REVEN IT partner www.REITEC.de. The basis of this development is a partnership of more than twenty years, which makes great applications possible, such as the new REVEN BIM APP, which is presented in this video tutorial.
