Matthias, if you may meet a famous personality – whether alive or dead: Who would it be and why?

The automotive pioneer Henry Ford. With the first flexible assembly line and the T-model, Ford revolutionized the production process. I am deeply impressed by his relentless passion and iron stamina.

Which three things in your life are you most thankful for?

For the people around me who make me smile, that I have every opportunity to live my freedom and dreams and, last but not least, for good food.

What was the best decision in your professional career?

In summary, I am extremely grateful that I have received professional training at the UNITED school of sports in addition to top-class sport.

If you were a food, what would it be?

I guess a Toblerone chocolate from Switzerland.

How often do you look at your mobile phone every day?

Hmmm, I can’t count that anymore.

What profession did your parents have in mind for you?

I was completely free in my choice of profession.

What will be your next project?

With regard to my new job at URtec, my focus is on the professional level. Accordingly, I would like to get an overview as quickly as possible and build up in-depth knowledge.

What could you possibly do without in your life?

I fear that I could do without everything except love and family.

And what could you not do without in your life?

I couldn’t do without sport in my life.

What used to be your favourite subject?

My favorite school subject was economics. I was fascinated by the constant change and the rapid pace of change.

If your life was filmed: Which actor (or actress) would play you?

Leonardo DiCaprio, from my point of view a very authentic and energetic actor.

If you could choose a country: Which one would you like to live in?

I feel very comfortable in little Switzerland. The variety of nature, the family warmth and the professional horizon captivate me again and again.

What would you get up for in the middle of the night?

For family, friends and a Nutella bread.

Which decision in your life would you want to undo afterwards?

In retrospect, there was no decision so far that I wanted to undo, because I could always take a lot of positive things out of the “bad decisions”.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Unfortunately, I cannot answer this question yet, as I will only take up the position in early August.

What should never be missing in your holiday suitcase?

My photo camera is a very loyal companion on vacation and should never be missing.

What should never be miIf you had three wishes free: What would they be?

That my environment remains healthy and lively, that the cooperation between REVEN and URtec is harmonious, reliable and goal-oriented and that together we can increase customer satisfaction and sales in the coming years.

What are your hobbies and do you have a nice snapshot of one of your hobbies?

I have been canoeing slalom for over 13 years and am a member of the Swiss elite national team. Therefore, in my free time, you often meet me on the white water with a satisfied smile.

Finally, one more question: What is your favorite song, if you also take into account the message of the song?

I think the song “Sowieso” by Mark Forster is very successful. How so? To explain this, only one sentence is enough: “Everything will be fine, anyway!”. No matter how bad it looks at the moment and how many stones life puts in your way – in the end everything will always be fine! And when things are not going the way you want them to be, you simply have to change your plan a bit.
