REVEN® air cleaner now also available in an energy-efficient eco-design!
By adopting the Kyoto Protocol, the European Union has undertaken to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 20 percent until 2020. To achieve this climate goal, the EU adopted the ErP Directive (Energy-related Products Directive). This new directive helps with studying the savings potential of numerous energy-related products and stipulating minimum requirements. Limits for fans were defined in June 2010 and are valid now.

The X-CYCLONE® separator made by Rentschler REVEN is the first device worldwide that passes successfully the flame-resistance test in accordance with the new DIN 18869.
REVEN – The X-CYCLONE® separator made by Rentschler REVEN is the first device worldwide that passes successfully the flame-resistance test in accordance with the new DIN 18869. In Part 5, the standard describes a method for testing the flame-arresting capability comparable to that specified by UL 1046, with a flame intensity that is up to three times higher, however! The X-CYCLONE® separator is the only separator of airborne liquid particles available on the market that was tested in accordance with UL 1046 and DIN 18869. It is the only device to be classified as a class A/DIN18869 separator.

One of the greatest state-of-the-art extraction ceilings will be commissioned these days in the military hospital in Ulm.
Ulm in December – One of the greatest state-of-the-art extraction ceilings will be commissioned these days in the military hospital in Ulm. The extraction ceiling uses a modern air-induction system. The airflow is optimised and induction airflows direct the exhaust air to the filters. The filters of the extraction ceiling clean themselves fully automatically and need not be removed for this purpose. The ceiling is made of stainless steel and powder-coated aluminium. Please take a look at the following illustrations.
This year, the new DIN 18869 standard came into force. It describes a testing procedure of the behaviour of aerosol separators (filters) under fire and their suitability to arrest flames. The testing is similar to the method described in the UL 1046 standard with a flame intensity that is approximately twice as high, however!
This year, the new DIN 18869 standard came into force. It describes a testing procedure of the behaviour of aerosol separators (filters) under fire and their suitability to arrest flames. The testing is similar to the method described in the UL 1046 standard with a flame intensity that is approximately twice as high, however! Unfortunately, no test stand satisfying the requirements of the new standard has been available until recently. Therefore, Rentschler REVEN started to build an new compliant test stand in close cooperation with test institutes and suppliers under the supervision of the REVEN project manager Marcus Auer. The test stand will be completed by the end of this month and by the end of the year, we will be able to test our equipment in accordance with DIN 18869 on the new stand. The following illustration shows the DIN18869 test stand.
